Top 7 Netflix K-Dramas of 2022

In this list, I’ve compiled the Top Seven Netflix K-dramas of 2022. In addition to the aforementioned movies, I’ve included Squid Game, Money Heist: Korea vs. Rookie Cops, Kingdom, and Through the Darkness. You can watch all seven films in their entirety in these lists, or just select the ones you’re interested in.

1.Money Heist: Korea vs Rookie Cops

Netflix recently unveiled a new teaser for its new series Money Heist: Korea. The show is an adaptation of the Spanish hit, which finished its third season last year. Although the series will follow a similar storyline, the language and setting are different. The series will feature twelve or 15 episodes. If you’re interested in watching this new show, make sure to check out the teaser below!

2.Through the Darkness

Through the Darkness is a crime thriller based in the 1990s. It stars Kim Namgil, Jeon Seonkyu, and Kim Sojin. The title literally translates to “Those Who Read the Mind of the Evil” and is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by criminal profiler Kwon Il-Young. The story centers around crime-field investigator Song Hayoung’s quest to understand the mind of serial killers.

A surprisingly high number of viewers enjoyed the first season of Netflix’s new series, Kingdom of Netflix K-dramas of 2021. Set three years after the Imjin War, this drama is a blend of political thriller and zombie horror. The story follows Crown Prince Lee Chang as he investigates a mysterious illness afflicting his father, King Tae-hwa. Soon, he’s caught up in an epidemic that’s ravaging the nation, and his political opponents attempt to take the throne.

4.Her Private Life

This highly emotional and moving Korean drama will leave you tearing up. The story follows the lives of three people – an autistic boy, his brother, and the woman who murdered her mother. Each new town has its own quirky personalities, and the plot develops in unexpected ways. The main characters, Ha Ri and Ryan, attempt to make amends and save their relationship, but their attempts are met with misunderstandings and rejection.

One of the most anticipated upcoming Korean dramas is Pachinko, an upcoming Netflix original. Based on the critically acclaimed 2017 novel by Min Jin Lee, Pachinko is a family saga spanning four generations. Starring Academy Award winner Yuh-Jung Youn, Korean-American actor Jin Ha, and Anna Sawai, the drama may win an Emmy in the years to come.

6.Thirty Nine

As one of the most anticipated Netflix K-dramas of 2022, Thirty-Nine stars a stellar cast and tells an emotional story about the bonding of friends. The plot focuses on three friends who met in school and stayed together. One of them, Mi-jo, has grown up to be a dermatologist, while the other two, Chan-young and Ji-Sang, are acting coaches. These friends are all 39, and they are all dealing with the consequences of loss and the challenges of adulthood.

If you are one of those who can’t wait for a new Korean drama to come out on Netflix, you’ve come to the right place. There are some very promising K-dramas coming up in 2022. For example, there’s Money Heist, a remake of the popular Spanish drama. The plot revolves around a group of high school students trapped in a high school after a zombie virus decimates the human population. You can watch Money Heist on Netflix, despite the fact that the official release date is not yet known.
